1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Wirepoint Limited ("WirePoint", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Nigeria (registration number 8805292). Wirepoint Limited has received Approval-in-Principle from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to operate as an International Money Transfer Operator (IMTO). By creating an account or using the WirePoint app or website at wirepoint.app (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You must complete the identity verification (KYC) we require and provide accurate, current information.
3. What WirePoint does
WirePoint helps you receive money from the United States through three methods — wire transfer, cheque, and cash deposit — and be settled in Nigerian Naira (NGN) or hold a US Dollar (USD) balance. For each deposit, you transact directly with WirePoint as the counterparty: you place an order, receive instructions, send or mail your payment to us, upload proof where required, and we credit your wallet at the prevailing exchange rate at the time of settlement.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and device secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@wirepoint.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Verification and compliance
We are required to verify your identity and monitor activity to meet anti-money-laundering and other legal obligations. You agree to provide the information we request, and you understand that we may delay, refuse, suspend, or reverse a transaction, or restrict your account, where we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law or to prevent fraud or misuse. 6. Deposits and settlement
- Exchange rates shown before settlement are indicative estimates. The final rate applied is the rate at the time your deposit is settled.
- Actions that confirm you have sent a wire, mailed a cheque, or mailed cash are irreversible once confirmed. Please review the details before confirming.
- Where proof of payment is required (for example, a wire receipt or a photo of your cheque), your order is processed once we have verified it.
- For cash sent by post, WirePoint is not responsible for cash lost in transit; we strongly recommend tracked or certified mail.
- Settlement times depend on the method and on third parties (for example, the time for a cheque to clear) and are estimates, not guarantees.
7. Fees and exchange rates
Any fees and the applicable exchange rate are shown in the app before you complete a transaction. Rates change with the market, and WirePoint does not guarantee any particular rate until settlement.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any law or regulation, or facilitate money laundering, fraud, or terrorist financing;
- provide false, misleading, or stolen information or documents;
- transact on behalf of an undisclosed third party without our approval;
- attempt to interfere with, probe, or compromise the security of the Service.
9. Risks and disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. We do not provide investment, tax, or legal advice, and all illustrative figures and rates shown in marketing or demo contexts are examples only.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WirePoint will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify WirePoint against claims, losses, and costs arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect WirePoint or others. We will settle any legitimately owed balance in line with applicable law and our verification requirements.
13. Intellectual property
The WirePoint name, logo, app, and content are owned by Wirepoint Limited or its licensors and may not be used without our permission.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria, without limiting any non-waivable rights you have under applicable law.
